Vintage Morning Journal Portrait Series #2
Another portrait from the Morning Journal from, well I have no clue. Who could this man be? To me it looks like he made some kind of stained glass and was being featured by the Journal for this craft.
The image is so simple yet very visually complex at the same time. The balance of the stained glass against the window really frames the subject nicely. The way the photographer blew out the background also helps bring focus onto the subject of the photography. I love the framing along with the subtle silhouettes of the subjects body against the window. The implied lines from the eyes of the stained glass face in the bottom of the frame is also a well thought out element in the image, my favorite by far.
