Morning Journal Vintage Series 7 OH and it just gets better. This is such an interesting photograph, I don’t really know where to start. It is an extremely simple portrait to say the least. An overhead light source slightly camera right creates a nice broad light on the subject. It also puts the far side of the face in shadow adding more contrast and interest to the image. So, who is this man? He looks so weather & wise with a hint of crazy in his eyes. Why was he photographed for the Morning Journal? Tobacco or Marijuana? Poverty or addiction? What do you think?
